Position Description
The IT Manager & Cybersecurity is a dual-role leadership position responsible for driving regional IT strategy, delivering reliable technology operations, and ensuring strong cybersecurity across all systems. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic oversight, balancing daily IT operations, infrastructure support, and advanced security initiatives. Position Description
The IT Manager & Cybersecurity is a dual-role leadership position responsible for driving regional IT strategy, delivering reliable technology operations, and ensuring strong cybersecurity across all systems. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic oversight, balancing daily IT operations, infrastructure support, and advanced security initiatives. The position requires both remote and on-site presence, while collaborating closely with global IT and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Leadership & Strategy
- Provide overall leadership for regional IT operations in alignment with global IT strategy and organizational objectives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain regional IT policies, standards, and best practices.
- Manage IT budgets, optimize resource allocation, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop IT staff or act as the primary IT point of contact for the region.
- Partner with business leaders to understand technology needs and deliver solutions that drive efficiency, scalability, and growth.
- Report regularly on IT performance, major initiatives, and cybersecurity posture to senior leadership.
- Oversee the performance and availability of regional IT infrastructure including servers, networks, endpoints, and peripherals.
- Provide advanced technical support and act as an escalation point for complex issues.
- Coordinate system upgrades, security patches, and preventative maintenance.
- Manage IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, tracking, and decommissioning.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Train and support end-users to promote secure, efficient use of technology.
- Design, implement, and manage cybersecurity measures to protect systems, networks, and data.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to proactively identify risks.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- Stay informed on evolving threats and emerging security technologies; recommend and implement improvements.
- Deliver cybersecurity awareness training to employees and ensure compliance with corporate security standards and data protection regulations.
- Manage key security platforms, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and SIEM systems.
- Lead and develop IT staff, including performance management, coaching, and professional development.
- Provide clear expectations, guidance, and accountability to team members.
- Oversee staffing activities including recruitment, evaluations, and training.
- Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proven IT leadership experience with the ability to balance operational execution and strategic planning.
- Professional cybersecurity certification(s) strongly preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security ).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills with the ability to present fact-based recommendations to leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work across multiple teams and levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to navigate conflict constructively and maintain positive working relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Information Technology, with at least 2 years in a dedicated cybersecurity role.
- Experience working directly with business and sales teams to align technology with business needs.
- Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
- Ability to travel 15–20% of the time.
- Requires regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Work may involve meeting deadlines under pressure, requiring focus and attention to detail.
- Hybrid role with both on-site and remote responsibilities.
