*** 2nd Shift Position (2:45 pm - 11:15 pm Monday-Friday & some Saturdays) ***
Essential Job Functions:
- Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and adhere to the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).
- Responsible for adhering to food quality and food safety guidelines per Refresco, Customer and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF) standards.
- Establishes priorities and directs loading workforce to satisfy customer demands.
- Plan and executes logistic needs with trucking firms to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments, while minimizing freight cost.
- Implements and enforces processes aimed at creating maximum inventory consistency and accuracy.
- Reviews and resolves operational problems to minimize cost and prevent operational delays.
- Manages the assigned business metrics/ budgets including yield, labor efficiency, and overhead expenses.
- Demonstrates leadership to warehouse employees to ensure consistent quality of work.
- Maintains effective communication of expectations and goals throughout the Warehouse environment.
- Ensure compliance to all OHSA and environmental regulatory and corporate standards. Investigate and identify root causes of any non-compliance.
- Accountable for a safe working environment through the development of strategies focused on accident reduction as well as energy and waste minimization.
- Oversee effective deployment of human resources throughout the department and ensure the correct administration of the collective Bargaining Agreement when applicable.
- Back up to Warehouse Supervisor responsibilities, as needed.
- Perform any other driving activities as directed by leadership.
- Clean/maintain work areas throughout the shift.
- Represents the company in a positive manner at all times.
- May have production machine operation duties.
