This includes mobilizing and leading up to two (2) Global Mission trips each year. They will also work with the Global Mission team to support church engagement strategies.

Pay Grade 15
Location: Hybrid – Grand Rapids, MI or Remote in the USA
Hours per week: Part time, 20 hours/week

Hiring Salary Range: $23,500 – 26,400

Position Summary
The Coordinator for Short-Term Mission and Church Engagement works with the Director of RCA Global Mission in Asia, North America and Church Engagement to equip churches for short-term mission. This includes mobilizing and leading up to two (2) Global Mission trips each year. They will also work with the Global Mission team to support church engagement strategies.
Responsibilities And Essential Duties
- Short-Term Mission – 50%
- Communicate with churches to plan group mission trips, including promotion, placement, training, and evaluation.
- Ensure information on engagement of volunteers and churches is up-to-date in the RCA database system.
- Manage finance processes for individual volunteers, by communicating with individuals, running reports, submitting reimbursements, and tracking volunteer balances.
- Coordinate administration of, and communication with applicants and recipients of the Next Generation Missional Engagement Fund Scholarship.
- Church Engagement – 30%
- Support the Global Mission team in church engagement strategies, including database entry.
- Develop and maintain a system for tracking and connecting with supporting churches.
- Lead up to two (2) Global Mission trips each year – 20%
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Committed to the mission and vision of the Reformed Church in America.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field or at least 3 years of experience working with communications, marketing, administration and/or organization.
- Excellent administrative and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and all Google applications. Should be able to create spreadsheets, reports, documents, and pdfs.
- Church leadership experience with equipping congregations for service and missional impact.
- Recognized gifts in leadership, encouragement, and communication.
- Ability to travel up to 15 days per year.
- Knowledge of RCA Global Mission.
- Experience leading or participating in short-term mission trips.
- Knowledge of relationships with RCA churches, pastors and youth leaders.
