Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic, organized, and client-focused Studio Manager to lead daily operations at Refora. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving membership growth, managing and developing our team, maintaining a world-class client experience, and keeping studio operations running seamlessly. The ideal candidate is passionate about Pilates and wellness, thrives in a fast-paced boutique environment, and brings both business acumen and personal warmth to everything they do.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Membership Growth
• Drive new membership sales through relationship-building, studio tours, and outreach in the local community
• Manage the full membership lifecycle including onboarding, retention, and win-back campaigns
• Monitor membership KPIs and report weekly on leads, conversions, and churn
• Develop and execute local marketing initiatives and promotional events to grow studio awareness
Teaching & Instruction
• Teach reformer Pilates group classes and private sessions as scheduled (frequency based on certification and experience)
• Maintain a thorough understanding of reformer programming to support both clients and instructors
• Assist with new client orientations and movement assessments
• Uphold Refora's standards for safe, effective, and engaging instruction
Staff Scheduling & Management
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop Pilates instructors
• Build and manage weekly staff schedules to ensure full class coverage
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
• Foster a positive, collaborative team culture aligned with Refora's values
• Address performance issues promptly and professionally
Operations & Facility Management
• Oversee day-to-day studio operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
• Manage the class and appointment booking system; resolve scheduling conflicts and client concerns
• Oversee inventory management for studio supplies and retail merchandise
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and vendor relationships
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Prepare and present regular operational and financial performance reports to ownership
Qualifications
Required
• 2 years of management experience in a boutique fitness, wellness, or hospitality setting
• Demonstrated success in sales, membership growth, or business development
• Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build relationships with clients and staff
• Proficiency with studio management software (e.g., Mindbody, MarianaTek, or similar)
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
Preferred
• Current Pilates certification (BASI, Stott, Balanced Body, or equivalent)
• Experience teaching reformer Pilates group or private sessions
• Experience with social media marketing and community engagement
