Software Engineer IV

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team!

Serve as the technical anchor for a new feature/capability being added to the AdmitIT product. Architect and design new features and translate complex business requirements into robust, documented technical designs. Coordinate closely with members of an Integrated Feature Team (IFT) to ensure high-quality delivery through the lifecycle, mentor mid-level peers, and conduct rigorous merge request reviews to maintain code, security, and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) years of Software Engineering experience
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field
• An additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for the degree, for a total of sixteen (16) years

Required Skills:

• Expert in Java (17 preferred) and the Spring Boot ecosystem
• Deep understanding of SOLID principles and OO design patterns
• Proficient in REST interface standards and best practices
• Ability to communicate and facilitate cross-team collaboration
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts
• Ability to write technical documentation including wiki sites, blogs, and XML/HTML
• Willing to mentor junior/mid-level software development peers
  
  

Desired Skills:

• Must be able to work in a collaborative environment, with minimal supervision
• Strong experience with MongoDB Data Architecture (schema design, indexing, and aggregation)
• Proficiency in Docker for local development and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Kubernetes orchestration and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for monitoring and troubleshooting
• Experience with PKI/TLS/SSL certificates
• Knowledge of ICAM capabilities and integration
• Familiarity with Confluence and Jira
• Strong organization and time-management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently to meet deadlines
