CNC Machinist & Hardware Technician
We're building humanoid robots in San Francisco! We need a master CNC machinist to help keep Haas CNCs and Reflex Robots running smoothly. For the technician aspect, think Formula One pit crew, but for next-gen robotics. You'll be the go-to problem solver, fixer, and tuner for our machines.
Part Time
What will you do:
CNC Machining (VF-2 & TL-2 Machines)
We're building humanoid robots in San Francisco! We need a master CNC machinist to help keep Haas CNCs and Reflex Robots running smoothly. For the technician aspect, think Formula One pit crew, but for next-gen robotics. You'll be the go-to problem solver, fixer, and tuner for our machines.
Part Time
What will you do:
CNC Machining (VF-2 & TL-2 Machines)
- Turn CAD into CAM programs
- Rapid prototyping for the local team (One off or limited run parts)
- Resolve issues and discuss manufacturability with Engineering team
- Maintain an organized shop with well kept tooling
- Perform hardware upgrades to robots
- Inventory Management and Quality Control
- Create detailed written & verbal team updates
- Must be a self-starter, organized, and reliable
- Efficient working independently
- Authorized to work in USA (Ideally lives in SF proper)
- Precision CNC Mill and Lathe experience
- Have a well thought out approach to setups, workholding, tooling and toolholders
- Extensive CAM experience (Fusion 360 Preferred)
- GD&T proficiency
- Extensive experience with hand tools, power tools, and common shop tools
- Proficiency making parts, assemblies, and drawings in solidworks
- Ability to follow and update assembly instructions
- Mechanical engineering degree is helpful but not required
