POSITION SCOPE AND PURPOSE:
The Quality Specialist is a quality focused individual who ensures documentation and record keeping process conforms to regulatory requirements and Reflex Medical requirements. Additional responsibilities also include working closely with Quality, and Production Management to aid in identification, troubleshooting, and correction of Quality issues.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Perform required inspections (In-Process, Final Inspections, First Article, GRR analysis) per control plans/inspection plans, document results on the appropriate Forms and Reports.
· Operate precision measuring instruments in accordance with documented procedures
· Work in conjunction with Manufacturing Management to ensure that all Manufacturing and Quality Assurance procedures are being performed.
· Complete dimensional, visual, and functional lot release in accordance with sampling plans and take action per documented procedures when potential quality problems are identified
· Interpret and communicate visual quality criteria to help Operators more fully understand product Quality requirements.
· Provide support to Management for activities associated with external audits.
· Coordinate the revision, review and approval and obsoleting of SOPs and other documents.
· Confer with document originators to resolve discrepancies and compiles required changes to documents.
· Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
· Exceptional time management and organization skills required. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
· Demonstrated experience and knowledge with Metrology Devices; Such as calipers, gage pins, micrometer, vision systems, are preferred.
· Work within a team environment to complete other quality related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least Six (6) months of Quality, Manufacturing, industrial, or assembly line experience.
· Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Must have a strong attention to detail, and be detail orientated.
- Manufacturing, industrial, or assembly line experience.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to adapt to constant changes.
- Comfortable working in a team environment as well as independently.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with people across all levels of staff, from Management to Production, and Quality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Position is Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to work for extended periods sitting or standing while completing tasks.
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of inspection equipment.
