Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural realignment using advanced tools and techniques.
- Fabricate custom parts and modify existing components using sheet metal, welding (MIG, TIG, and arc), soldering, and other fabrication methods to meet specific repair or restoration needs.
- Conduct vehicle assessments to determine necessary repairs, estimate parts and labor requirements, and communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other equipment to prepare surfaces for painting or refinishing.
- Apply auto painting techniques including sanding, priming, color matching, and finishing to achieve a flawless appearance.
- Replace auto glass securely while ensuring proper sealing and alignment for safety and aesthetics.
- Assist in auto restoration projects by restoring vintage or damaged vehicles to their original condition with attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair and fabrication.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, sheet metal work, auto painting, auto glass installation, and auto estimating.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Skilled in vehicle maintenance procedures including auto restoration, assembly, detailing, and automotive repair.
- Knowledge of airless paint spraying techniques for high-quality finishes.
- Familiarity with automotive systems such as auto body structures, chassis alignment, and auto glass installation.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate repair processes clearly while maintaining professionalism.
