We’re currently growing our team of Artisans with a Warehouse Receiver. As a warehouse receiver, you will play a critical role in the efficient operation of our distribution center by overseeing the accurate receipt and processing of incoming vendor deliveries. Duties include unloading delivery trucks, checking incoming shipments against purchase orders (POs), organizing and storing shipments until the product is delivered to the end user.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized area
• Receive, check and validate the accuracy of incoming deliveries
• Making data entry updates in database systems
• Report material discrepancies to Procurement
• Track and communicate partial shipments until all items of a PO have been received
• Digitize and file all associated documents with all items received
• Ensure all items received are delivered to the right building and to the respective owner (or at least communicated for larger items)
• Manage the receiving section of the PO tracking sheet/software
• Collaborate with other internal teams
• Adhere to established safety protocols and guidelines
  
  

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills required including experience with Excel
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and track inventory data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a cross functional team.
• Creativity to develop new and innovative solutions.
  
  

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
• Knowledge around various types of materials, mainly carbon steel.
  
  

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

• Will work indoors in a warehouse setting.
• Environment may vary in temperature and humidity levels depending on the season.
• Can be noisy due to various machinery and the movement of goods.
• Will work full-time hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak seasons.
• May be required to lift and carry heavy boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Prolonged periods of time of standing and walking as you will move around the facility to receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments.
• Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is required such as steel toed boots.
