Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Stretch Therapist/ Flexologist to join our practice as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate has strong skills in anatomy, working with athletes, excellent client care, and is excited to contribute to a growing practice. This is a great opportunity for a therapist who wants the benefits of an established brand, marketing, and clientele—without the burden of running their own business.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional stretch therapy sessions (30, 60 and 90 minutes) tailored to client needs.
• Maintain proper client records and SOAP notes
• Educate clients on aftercare, injury prevention, and recovery strategies.
• Represent Refined Massage professionally at occasional community events and sports massage pop-ups.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming treatment environment.
• Take measures to ensure proper ergonomics and personal alignment/safety within the massage room.
• Develop and engage in a self-care routine to maintain health and wellness.
• Possess a high degree of empathy and passion to help people along their wellness and fitness journey.
• Be able to assess a clients' desire to engage in conversation vs their need to relax and be able to effectively switch between both.
• Sanitize equipment and surfaces touched between each massage.
• Change linens between each appointment, if applicable.
• Help clients schedule their next appointment.
• Take payment for services rendered.
• Wash and fold linens (if applicable, off-site).
• Open and close the facility, as needed, depending on your shift.
• Be self-motivated and able to work in a group or independently.

Qualifications

• Current liability insurance (required).

• Strong foundation in anatomy, kinesiology, and massage techniques.

• Interest or experience in sports massage, deep tissue, or therapeutic bodywork preferred.

• Professionalism, reliability, and excellent communication skills.

• Must be comfortable working as an independent contractor

Compensation & Benefits

• Flat rate per massage: 30, 60, and 90 minutes (details discussed at interview) tips.

• The contractor keeps full control over taxes and insurance.

• Flexible scheduling options. The contractor maintains full control of their work hours based on when the room is available. (Not being used by another therapist)
