Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Fracking Operations & Equipment Setup: 

  • Operate and maintain fracking equipment, including pumps, blenders, and other specialized machinery, to ensure proper function during hydraulic fracturing operations. 

  • Set up and break down equipment on well sites, ensuring all components are ready for use and meeting safety and operational standards. 

  • Assist with mixing downhole chemicals and fracturing fluids according to specified formulas and procedures. 

  • Monitor pressure, flow rates, and other parameters during fracking operations to ensure service quality and equipment safety. 

  • Perform pre-job checks and setup of equipment and ensure all tools and materials are available before starting a job. 

  1. Pumping Downhole Chemicals & Fluids: 

  • Pump fracturing fluid, proppant, and downhole chemicals into wells in accordance with the customer's specifications and project requirements. 

  • Ensure proper sequencing and timing of chemical injections to meet job specifications. 

  • Monitor chemical injection rates and adjust pumping parameters as needed to maintain optimal downhole conditions. 

  1. Safety & Compliance: 

  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations while on the job site. 

  • Conduct routine safety checks on equipment and tools to identify and mitigate risks. 

  • Participate in job safety assessments (JSAs) and adhere to established safety plans. 

  • Follow all company and customer guidelines related to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations. 

  • Maintain compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) policies and report any safety hazards or concerns. 

  1. Job Monitoring & Reporting: 

  • Track and monitor job progress and performance using job ticketing systems or other reporting tools. 

  • Assist with post-job reporting, documenting chemical usage, flow rates, pressures, and other key metrics. 

  • Provide accurate data to supervisors and project managers for post-job analysis, invoicing, and customer reporting. 

  1. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: 

  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on fracking equipment to ensure continuous operation during the job. 

  • Report any major equipment malfunctions to the appropriate team members for repair or replacement. 

  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of equipment after each job, ensuring equipment is ready for future use. 

  1. Customer Service & Communication: 

  • Maintain strong communication with customers, field supervisors, and other team members to ensure that job requirements are met. 

  • Provide excellent service by demonstrating professionalism, respect, and a commitment to safety and quality. 

  • Address customer concerns or issues promptly, escalating when necessary. 

  1. Inventory Management & Chemical Handling: 

  • Assist in managing and tracking inventory of chemicals and materials used on job sites. 

  • Ensure the proper storage and handling of chemicals in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines. 

  • Assist in inventory control to ensure all supplies and equipment are available and operational. 

  1. Training & Development: 

  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current on industry best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills. 

  • Help train and mentor junior technicians on equipment operation, safety standards, and company procedures. 

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in oil and gas operations is preferred. 

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Fracking Technician or in a related role within the oil and gas industry. 

  • Knowledge of hydraulic fracturing processes and equipment. 

  • Experience with chemical handling, safety procedures, and operational equipment. 

  • Ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions, including extreme weather, and remote locations. 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures. 

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team. 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor for extended periods. 

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Fracking or oil and gas industry certification. 

  • Experience with specific equipment used in hydraulic fracturing (e.g., pumps, blenders, mixing units). 

  • HSE certification or safety training (OSHA, First Aid, etc.).

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. 

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. 

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing work environments and job requirements. 

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team. 

  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence. 

 

Work Environment & Physical Demands: 

  • Field-based position requiring travel to and from well sites, often in remote or off-road locations. 

  • Work in outdoor, physically demanding conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, noise, and dust. 

  • Ability to work long hours, including nights and weekends, depending on job requirements. 

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and materials. 

  • Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and around hazardous materials and chemicals.
