Reeves International, Inc. is a privately held New Jersey corporation since 1946, dedicated to creating, developing, marketing, and distributing children’s toys, gifts and collectibles that are beautiful, engaging, enduring, and fun. We are looking for an exceptional individual to support and assist our CFO and Accounting team as Accounting Assistant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide accounting support to the CFO and Accounting Department including:
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist with preparation of financial reports, including account analysis
- Enter journal entries and reconciliations
- Assist with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies
- Assist with month end, quarter end and year end closings
- Backup for accounts receivable
- Back up for accounts payable
Provide basic administrative support to the CFO
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree in related field with at least 5 years relevant work experience
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Professional manner, confidential and strong ethical code
- Self-motivated, highly organized, dependable and reliable
- Exceptional accuracy and time-management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently and effectively
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with NetSuite or like ERP system
