Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role involves coordinating service appointments, providing accurate estimates, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a positive rapport.
- Assess customer vehicle needs through effective communication and mechanical knowledge.
- Prepare detailed auto estimates for repairs and maintenance, including oil changes, , suspension work, brake repairs, transmission servicing, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, and other automotive diagnostics.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance to enhance vehicle performance and safety.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and services.
- Manage service writing documentation accurately in the dealership management system.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently.
- Follow up with customers regarding vehicle status and additional recommendations.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of automotive repair procedures and parts inventory to assist customers effectively.
- Promote dealership services through excellent customer service and professional sales techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Experience with auto estimating, service writing, and automotive repair processes.
- Familiarity with transmissions, oil changes, alignment, suspension work, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, brake repair, and other automotive specialties.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to upsell services effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience working as a service technician or mechanic is advantageous.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and professionally.
