Job description
We are a growing California-based trailer manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented HR Specialist to support our Human Resources department. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of California labor laws and compliance requirements, who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Full time position 8am to 5pm
Pay: $70,000 to 70,304 per year
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee records management
· Ensure compliance with California labor laws, wage & hour regulations, and company policies
· Support payroll processes, timekeeping, and attendance tracking
· Assist with workers’ compensation claims, safety documentation, and OSHA compliance
· Help coordinate employee benefits, leave of absence (FMLA/CFRA), and personnel files
· Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures
· Assist with audits, reporting, and maintaining compliance documentation
· Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, interview scheduling, and new hire paperwork
Qualifications
· 1–3 years of experience in an HR or administrative role (manufacturing environment preferred)
· Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR compliance
· Familiarity with wage & hour laws, meal/rest breaks, and employee classifications
· Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
· Excellent organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills
· Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting hourly production workforces
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
