Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. This role involves performing oil changes, tire services, alignments, and other basic mechanical tasks to ensure vehicles are operating safely and efficiently. The Lube Tech will work closely with our service technicians to support the overall maintenance and repair process, contributing to a positive customer experience.
Duties
- Perform oil changes and fluid top-offs using appropriate hand tools and power tools
- Conduct tire rotations, replacements, and wheel alignments
- Assist with vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues
- Use automotive diagnostics tools to troubleshoot basic problems
- Maintain and service vehicle systems according to dealership standards
- Operate mechanical equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with general vehicle maintenance tasks such as brake inspections and fluid checks
- Ensure work area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions
- Support sales efforts by recommending additional services when appropriate
- Heavy lifting of vehicles or parts may be required
Requirements
- Prior dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Proven mechanic experience with knowledge of automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to oil changes, tire service, alignments, and general vehicle repairs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and maintenance procedures
