Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our Employee owned company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely delivering fuel to our loyal customers. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, vehicle operation, and adherence to safety regulations. The Delivery Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through efficient service.
Duties
- Execute route driving efficiently while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload fuel, ensuring proper handling and situational awareness.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate HAZ-MAT endorsements.
- Proven experience in truck driving or commercial driving roles, particularly with route driving.
- Knowledge of propane and liquid fuel delivery.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to freight transport of hazardous materials
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy items, pulling the delivery hose and working outside.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
