What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Rees Associates?
Job Summary
The Operator supports Rees Associates, Inc. by operating machinery in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. This includes knowledge of on/off switches, all safety mechanisms, the loading, bagging, tying operations, the sorting process for addresses, reading and understanding the schedule and training new employees as directed by the production supervisor.
Responsibilities:
· Sorting mail in an accurate fashion.
· Safely operate machinery.
· Prepare samples per the operator’s schedule.
· Identify and write key codes/BMC’s on schedule, bag tags, timecards, and samples as directed.
· Loading material on machines are directed
· Check and set points on machines in an accurate manner
· Maintain accurate timecards
· Accurately fill out bin sheets
· Perform other job-related duties as instructed by the shift supervisor
Requirements:
· Maintain daily attendance requirements. All absences and tardies must be planned/reported.
· Read and speak English effectively
· Work accurately and independently, meeting productivity requirements.
· Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
· Follow Rees Associates, Inc. training guidelines when assigned trainees.
· Life 30-40lbs (addressing boxes) routinely throughout shift
· Constantly stand and/or walk for two hours
Schedules Available:
First Shift 6:30 AM to 3 PM
Second Shift 3 PM to 11:30 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
