General Manager
Reems Creek Nursery Inc. – Weaverville, NC
Full-Time | Salaried Position
Salary Range: $50,000 – $75,000 Per Year
Reems Creek Nursery is seeking a motivated, organized, and leadership-driven individual to
serve as our next General Manager.
This is a key leadership role within one of Western North Carolina’s premier independent garden
centers. We are looking for someone who can help oversee daily operations, lead people
effectively, execute at a high level, and help position the company for future growth.
This position will work directly with Executive Management and Department Coordinators to
ensure the nursery operates efficiently, professionally, and at the standard our customers have
come to expect.

Position Overview
The General Manager will oversee:
Daily nursery and retail operations
Scheduling and staffing
Department coordination
Customer service flow
Operational execution
Team accountability
Employee development and support
Problem-solving and operational follow-through
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills, operational
awareness, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the nursery and retail areas
Ensure proper staffing and scheduling
Supervise Department Coordinators and support staff
Help maintain a positive, professional work culture
Ensure strong customer service standards
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training
Review employee time and payroll accuracy
Manage operational issues and maintenance follow-through
Operate within established budgets and sales goals
Help execute seasonal planning and company initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven leadership or management experience
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to problem solve and lead people effectively
Ability to work flexible hours during peak seasons
Preferred:
Experience in the green industry, retail, logistics, hardware, grocery, or related
operational fields
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree
Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment

Additional Expectations
This is a salaried management position based on a standard 40-hour work week; however,
