Job Overview
As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing store performance, leading your team, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. You will set the tone for professionalism, accountability, and operational excellence while helping develop team members to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate sales associates to meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, identifying needs, and providing expert product recommendations.
- Manage daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, inventory control, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
- Conduct regular performance check-ins, provide feedback, and hold team members accountable to company standards.
- Monitor store metrics and implement action plans to improve performance when needed.
- Maintain accurate records, process transactions, and ensure proper use of the POS system.
- Communicate effectively with upper management and provide updates on store performance, staffing needs, and operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing new team members.
- Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Qualifications
- Previous retail management or supervisory experience required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and hold team members accountable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to resolve conflicts and create a positive team environment.
- Bilingual (English–Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math.
- Proven ability to drive sales and meet performance goals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
