Job Summary:

 Preparing components for reel assembly through processes such as stamping, riveting, and sanding. 

This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to follow job specifications accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform part preparation tasks including stamping, riveting, and sanding using hands, wrists, and arms.

  • Interpret and follow instructions outlined in job packets.

  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout an 8-hour shift.

  • Operate a variety of hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.

  • Push and pull crates weighing up to 1,000 pounds using a manual pallet jack during the workday.

  • Prioritize work orders based on production schedules and deadlines.

  • Read and accurately interpret gauges and measurement tools.

  • Must be open to cross training in all department on plant floor.


Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent desired. 3-6 months of fabrication work experience desired.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedures, operating and maintenance instructions or manuals. Ability to speak audibly, and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The majority of times is spent standing, walking using hands to finger, handling or feeling, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, and lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds. Occasionally pushing or pulling wheeled crates weighing up to 1,000 pounds. Visual demands include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment:

  • Mostly standing with some walking throughout the shift.
  • Work near presses, sanding equipment, and forming machines with exposure to noise, vibration, and metal dust.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent lifting floor‑to‑waist and waist‑to‑shoulder; team lifts for heavier or awkward parts.
  • Pushing/pulling pallet jacks, weld tables, and fixtures throughout the day.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and climbing onto platforms or catwalks.
  • Repetitive hand use and firm gripping of metal parts.
  • Standing/walking/working at a station for up to 7 hours per shift.
  • Close visual inspection, reading prints, measurements, and hearing shop signals/announcements.
  • Production‑paced environment with rotation across lighter and heavier workstations.
  • Required PPE: safety‑toed shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, cut‑rated gloves and sleeves; additional PPE may be required depending on the task.
  • Exposure to sharp edges, burrs, and seasonal temperature changes.
