Position
This position is based in Springfield (Illinois) and will also provide virtual HR support to the Mobile (Alabama) office with some on-site support, not to exceed 15%.

Advisory Role
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Advise and support managers and employees on the interpretation of company policies (compensation, benefits, etc.) and various issues (disciplinary measures, employee/manager meetings, etc.).
- Manage the staffing, pre-employment, and onboarding process for new employees in Springfield and Mobile
- Manage the training process and system for both sites
- Support HR Talent processes such as onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, talent review and succession planning
- Assist with all annual wage increase actions
- Conduct open enrollment sessions to review benefit updates
- Manage the leave of absences and disability cases
- Work closely with the management to promote a positive work culture
- Investigate complaints and conduct all necessary follow up as appropriate
- Ensure all administrative HR functions comply with federal, state and local employment laws
- Conduct health and safety onboarding session
- Deploy OHS prevention programs and action plans
- Analyze risks in the work environment and make recommendations
- Carry out safety observations, accident investigations and analyzes and monitor preventive/corrective measures
- Manage workplace accident files for Springfield and Mobile
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- You are legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- You have a bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Organizational/Industrial Psychology, or Business Management
- You have at least five (5) years of work experience in a similar role
- You have experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment
- You are recognized for your professionalism, autonomy and excellent communication skills
- You are available to travel to Mobile (AL) a few times a year (15%)
