CMA – Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor, WA
Reef Systems is looking for CMAs to support the government at the Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor, WA.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5 to 9-hour period, to include an uncompensated 30-to-60-minute lunch break, respectively. In no instance will the health care worker be required to provide regular services in excess of 80 hour per two-week period. The Contractor is responsible for conducting business on the days and hours specified herein except when the Government facility is closed.

Other than the recognized holidays identified above, the following are known non-duty days (family or training days) where the contract workers will not be able to perform their duties, even in a telework environment.
Emergency Essential Services:
Contract worker positions are considered emergency/mission essential in an emergency services status.
Health Requirements:
The Contractor shall provide documentation certifying health requirements such as immunizations, annual vaccinations, and physical examination when required at the time of initial placement.
Mandatory Requirements:

Core Duties:
• Prepare examination rooms prior to patient's arrival.
• Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
• Check patient's vital signs, to include temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading.
• Obtain and document patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies and vital signs on the correct form.
• Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered.
• Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms.
• Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies.
• Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departing time when patient is released.

- Degree: Certificate.
- Education: Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical Technologists or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.
- *Certification: Certified Medical Assistant Only: Current certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or Current registration by the American Medical Technologists or other formal program.
- Experience: One year of experience within the last two years as a Certified Medical Assistant.
- Equivalency Determination Request: The Contractor may not request an equivalency determination as a substitute for education requirements on this labor category.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS): From the Red Cross or American Heart Association.
