Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Transport/Bobtail Driver to join our dynamic team. The current schedule is Tuesday through Saturday. As a driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of fuel products.
You will be transporting fuel and must be well-versed in all relevant safety protocols and regulations related to fuel transportation. Our ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of fuel handling procedures.
Shift and Schedule
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with flexibility to work overtime.
Compensation
- Up to $32 per hour DOE, paid weekly.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bobtail truck and fuel equipment to ensure safety and compliance
- Drive in a safe manner, obeying and adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations
- Drive to fuel loading terminal or bulk tank to load truck
- Drive to customer site to dispense product via pump system
- Must be able to climb, bend, push, pull repetitively
- Report any vehicle or issues to management promptly and effectively
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and reports as required by company policies and regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
- 2 years of fuel delivery preferred (Gas, Diesel, Dyed Diesel)
- Proven experience as a fuel delivery driver or in a similar role
- 5 years CDL A Tanker and/or Bobtail experience preferred
- Must be able to drive manual transmission
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for transporting hazardous materials
- Excellent driving record with no serious infractions
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimal supervision
