Role Description
We are seeking a Director of Construction Engineering to join our team in a full-time, on-site role based in Aberdeen, SD. The individual in this leadership position will oversee and manage construction engineering operations, supervise construction site planning, design, and execution, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with teams, ensuring construction sites meet deadlines and budgets, and implementing innovative methodologies to maintain excellence in heavy highway and infrastructure delivery. The Director will also act as a key liaison with owners and clients to support and enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and management skills for overseeing construction engineering operations and supervising large teams
- Expertise in construction management, project planning, concrete paving, asphalt recycling, and fly ash stabilization
- Proficiency in engineering software, design processes, and quality assurance standards
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure projects and transportation systems in the Midwest region
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree or P.E. license preferred)
- Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects with a strong understanding of safety and environmental compliance
