Our client is looking to add a Project Finance Manager to their team in New York, this role will be located at JFK terminal 1.
The main function of the job is to provide an efficient project level finance function for a large scale and complex business, whilst also delivering accurate financial accounting information to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:Preparation of profit and loss statement, preparation of balance sheetPreparing and analyzing monthly variance reportsPreparation of commentary to accompany accountsPreparation of initial contract budgets & uploads into the accounting systemSystem set up for new projects as requiredSales Ledger invoicing for the businessAccounts payable responsibilities from processing supplier invoices through to ACH payment runsAssistance with the year end and interim statutory auditLiaising with wider support function to ensure accounting postings are accurateJournal preparation and uploadsDownload, reconcile and post monthly journalsDocument and improve accounting processes and procedures where necessaryReporting financial results to external stakeholdersLiaising with clients on monthly billing amounts dueReviewing payroll and posting journals into SAPReviewing and approving monthly 32BJ SEIU (union) invoices for paymentReconciling the bank account and posting journals into SAPLiaising with tax advisers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsAssist in maintaining of policy and procedure documentation
Experience and skills required: CPA preferred but is not an essential requirementBachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience5 experience in project accounting, desirableAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong excel and data modelling skillsSAP experience is advantageousExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently, manage multiple projects and adhere to reporting deadlines,
