Position Overview
REED Autism Services is seeking a Facilities Technician to support the daily maintenance, safety, and operational readiness of REED properties, with a primary focus on the Community Center. This role works closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure facilities are safe, well-maintained, compliant, and responsive to program needs across the organization.
Part Time: Three days a week, 24 hours weekly
Salary: $28,000-33,000
Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Maintenance Support
- Support the Facilities Manager in the execution of routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance across REED properties.
- Serve as the primary on-site facilities contact for the Community Center, responding to daily maintenance needs and requests.
- Perform minor repairs and troubleshooting as appropriate; escalate larger or specialized needs to the Facilities Manager.
- Assist with managing and responding to maintenance requests submitted through REED’s work order process.
- Track open items and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
- Communicate status updates to program and site leadership as needed.
- Assist with coordinating vendors and contractors, including scheduling access, monitoring work completion, and reporting issues.
- Support oversight of custodial services at the Community Center to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met.
- Serve as on-site support during vendor visits, inspections, or project work.
- Work closely with program staff, site leadership, and administrative teams to address facilities-related needs.
- Support preparation for and participation in municipal, state, and federal inspections.
- Monitor facilities for safety risks, maintenance concerns, or compliance issues and report findings to the Facilities Manager.
- Assist with maintaining safe, clean, and functional environments across programs.
- Help ensure fitness, café, and program equipment remains operational and safe.
Schedule & Work Environment
- This role is primarily day-based, with flexibility required to respond to urgent maintenance needs.
- Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required to support repairs, projects, or inspections.
- Regular travel between REED sites may be required.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass all required background and compliance checks.
- Experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic repairs, maintenance coordination, and vendor oversight.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Pay: $28,000.00 - $33,000.00 per month
