REEcycle Rare Resource Recycling Inc.
Duncan, OK Full Time
POSTED ON 8/18/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/4/2026

About REEcycle

REEcycle is an American rare earth elements (REE) recycling company focused on recovering rare earths from end-of-life NdFeB magnets to bolster U.S. supply chain resilience and reduce dependence on foreign sources of critical minerals. Backed by U.S. Department of War funding, we are establishing production at our facility in Duncan, Oklahoma.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Plant Superintendent to lead the development, commissioning, and day-to-day operation of our rare earth recycling facility in Duncan, OK. This is a leadership position with full accountability for safety, production, cost, and people. You will be involved in the development of the facility, building a first-of-its kind plant from the ground up.

The successful candidate will consistently demonstrate a “safety-first” mindset and lead by example on the floor. You will balance daily delivery with establishing the future of REEcycle’s commercial operations.

This is a full-time, on-site (not remote) position in Duncan, OK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in line with a safety-first culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE standards, procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Play an active, hands-on role in the managing the demonstration plant operations and the development of the facility — supporting processes, equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and the safe ramp-up of operations from demonstration scale to full production.
  • Lead daily plant operations to achieve production, quality, recovery, and efficiency goals while maintaining strong process control, risk management, and operational discipline.
  • Lead a team of hourly operators, establish schedules, conduct performance reviews, and build a well-trained, motivated workforce.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant performance, throughput, and reagent consumption.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Metallurgical, or Mechanical) is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical, mineral processing, manufacturing, or petrochemical operations, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience in plant operations.
  • Proven success leading teams in a production or plant environment, including the ability to engage, motivate, and hold accountable hourly staff.
  • Strong understanding of safety systems, plant operations, process control, and cost management.
  • Understanding of project management principles and hands-on troubleshooting ability.
  • Strong proven oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent administrative, organization, and supervisor skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be able to regularly lift moderately heavy objects (50 lbs, occasionally up to 75 lbs), climb ladders and stairs, and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work safely in and around strong permanent magnets and magnetic fields; individuals with pacemakers, implanted medical devices, or other conditions affected by magnetic fields should consult occupational health regarding their ability to perform this function.
  • REEcycle promotes a drug- and alcohol-free workplace using pre-employment and ongoing testing, as allowed by applicable law.
  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience with annual incentive opportunity.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus a 401(k)-retirement plan with company match.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • The chance to make a lasting impact building a first-of-its-kind facility in a strategically vital U.S. industry.
  • A dynamic, collaborative, high-performing, and safety-driven team culture.

REEcycle is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other status protected by federal, state or local law.
