Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join our team. Our properties offer conventional leasing and accept Section 8 vouchers, providing quality housing to a diverse group of residents. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator, sales-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional service. This role offers the opportunity to earn commissions and bonuses for new leases and lease renewals.
Key Responsibilities:
Leasing & Sales
· Greet prospective residents, provide property tours, and highlight available units and amenities.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of leasing inventory, current pricing, and eligibility requirements for Section 8 vouchers.
· Process rental applications, verify qualifications, and assist with lease agreements.
· Follow up with prospects to close leases and meet monthly leasing goals.
Customer Service
· Serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective residents, addressing questions, concerns, and maintenance requests.
· Ensure an exceptional move-in experience and assist with lease renewals to maximize resident retention.
Administrative Duties
· Accurately maintain resident files and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including Section 8 requirements.
· Collect rent payments, issue late notices, and collaborate with the property manager on delinquencies when needed.
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly leasing reports.
Marketing & Outreach
· Participate in community events and outreach initiatives to promote the property.
· Assist in creating online and offline marketing materials, including social media updates, flyers, and promotional events.
Qualifications:
· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
· Previous experience in property management, leasing, or customer service (preferred).
· Knowledge of Section 8 voucher programs and federal housing regulations (preferred).
· Strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills.
· Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to work weekends and occasional evenings, as needed.
