Redwood Outdoors is a rapidly growing e-commerce company specializing in outdoor saunas and cold plunge tubs. As we expand our fulfillment network and showroom footprint, we are seeking a proactive and highly organized Workplace Operations Manager to oversee the operations of our physical workplace environments.
This role is responsible for ensuring our warehouse, showroom, and office facilities operate safely, efficiently, and professionally. The Workplace Operations Manager will manage vendor relationships, oversee preventative maintenance programs, coordinate infrastructure projects, and support Redwood’s growing network of locations.
This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and works closely with leadership to maintain and improve Redwood’s physical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Operations & Vendor Management
- Own day-to-day facilities operations for Redwood’s Kent headquarters, including warehouse, showroom, and office spaces.
- Build and manage a reliable network of vendors across trades such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security systems, janitorial, fire protection, and general maintenance.
- Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility inspections to ensure building systems remain operational and well maintained.
- Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs, safety risks, and operational improvements.
- Coordinate facilities support for Redwood showroom locations in other states by managing vendors remotely when needed.
Workplace Environment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workplace environment that supports employee productivity and comfort.
- Oversee janitorial services and ensure workplace standards are consistently met.
- Manage breakroom supplies, shared spaces, conference rooms, and employee workstations.
- Support People Operations with workspace setup and equipment needs for new hires.
Infrastructure & Technology Support
- Coordinate the physical infrastructure supporting Redwood’s technology systems, including network cabling, security cameras, access control, and conference room AV systems.
- Serve as the onsite liaison for Redwood’s remote IT providers by assisting with equipment access, installations, and infrastructure coordination.
- Maintain inventory of workplace technology assets such as monitors, workstations, and related equipment.
(This role does not provide IT helpdesk support.)
Facilities Projects
- Lead facility improvement projects such as HVAC upgrades, warehouse racking installations, lighting improvements, and workplace reconfigurations.
- Obtain vendor bids, coordinate project timelines, and oversee project execution.
- Support leadership on larger projects, such as showroom buildouts, by coordinating infrastructure elements like utilities, security systems, and technology installations.
Safety & Compliance Support
- Conduct facility safety walkthroughs and help identify potential hazards.
- Coordinate required vendor inspections such as fire protection systems and safety equipment.
- Maintain safety documentation and compliance records in partnership with operations leadership.
Facilities Budget Planning
- Track facilities-related expenses and vendor contracts.
- Assist leadership in preparing quarterly facilities budgets by forecasting recurring maintenance costs and proposing infrastructure improvements.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
Within the first year, the Workplace Operations Manager will have:
- Built a reliable vendor network capable of quickly addressing facility needs across Redwood locations.
- Implemented preventative maintenance programs for key building systems.
- Established organized systems for tracking facilities requests, maintenance schedules, and vendor activity.
- Ensured Redwood’s warehouse, office, and showroom environments operate safely and professionally.
- Successfully executed facility improvement projects that support the company’s growth.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in facilities management, workplace operations, or building operations.
- Working knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and security systems.
- Experience managing vendors and coordinating facility repairs or infrastructure projects.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with leadership and vendors.
- Experience supporting warehouse or operational environments is preferred.
Requirements
- Ability to work onsite five days per week at Redwood Outdoors’ Kent, WA facility.
- Comfortable performing occasional hands-on tasks such as minor repairs or workspace setup when needed.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 annually plus benefits
