Job Overview
Redwood Family Therapy is adding psychiatric medication management to our established mental health therapy practice (since 2014) in Saratoga Springs, Utah. We’re looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our collaborative care team and provide medication evaluation, prescribing, and ongoing management for patients across the lifespan. You’ll see a mix of private-pay and insurance clients. You will be our first PMHNP and be able to help define the position. We are starting this as a part-time position with the possibility of building to a full-time position, but staying part-time is an option.
This is a unique opportunity to step into a role with a built-in client base. Our 11 therapists are actively working with clients who need medication management and are currently being referred out. You’ll start with warm referrals from day one.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for new clients
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications across the lifespan (children, adolescents, adults, and older adults)
- Provide follow-up medication management visits
- Collaborate closely with therapists on integrated treatment plans
- Maintain thorough clinical documentation using our EHR system Simple Practice
- Participate in case consultations and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence
What we are looking for -
Required:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with PMHNP specialization
- Board certification as a PMHNP (ANCC)
- Active Utah APRN license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Active Utah Controlled Substance License (or ability to obtain)
Preferred (not required):
- Experience in outpatient psychiatric care
- Comfort with a broad patient population (children through adults)
- Sub-specialty interest or expertise (e.g., ADHD, anxiety/depression, trauma-informed, addiction, child/adolescent)
- Experience working collaboratively with therapists in a multidisciplinary setting
Pay: $80,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year
