SUMMARY

The Vocational Team Lead is responsible for developing and managing competitive integrated employment and community inclusion opportunities. This role fosters strong relationships with government agencies, clients, and staff, while providing leadership and support to Job Coaches. The Team Lead assists the Vocational Development & Compliance Specialist on compliance needs, client coverage, and actively participates in client planning to drive successful vocational outcomes.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS:

• Delegate directives from the Program Coordinator to staff and assistance with overseeing client coverage needs
• Establish and maintain key employer relationships, securing CIE placements and supporting the launch of new contracts in neighboring counties.
• Will support Job Coaches in IE and CI placements as needed.
• Provide support to the Vocational Program Coordinator in facilitating onboarding as needed.
• Review Job Placement tab in SetWorks for all employed IE clients for accuracy and compliance.
• Provides job coaching and promotes career development support to improve job skills.    
• Promotes and facilitates JE & CI development opportunities for job coaches.
• Maintain professional relationships with county funding agents.
• Assists in job shadow schedules for all new hires for the Vocational Program Coordinator.
• Provide in the field support to job coaches to ensure SAILS standards of care are being adhered to.
• Assists Operations team in coordinating coverage needs
• Notifies Program Coordinator and Vocational Services Director immediately of any problems with clients or employers to resolve issues in a timely manner and follow all mandatory reporting guidelines.
• Participate in the client's planning team to develop goals, objectives, and identify natural supports.
• Attend client PCSP meetings.
• Coordinate with the  Vocational Development & Compliance Specialist on a weekly basis to maintain compliance.
• Coordinate with Program Coordinator to ensure the Job Coach Workbooks are up to date and all PCSP's, Annual Intakes, and semi-annual reports are always current. 
• Participate in county provider meetings and local vendor fairs in neighboring counties to promote
• Other duties as assigned.
• Working knowledge of DDA, DVR, Transitions, & CI service lines and best practices.
• Maintain internal reports to ensure job coaches are achieving utilization metrics

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• An accredited program toward a high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s degree is preferred

Experience:

• Preferred by not required, minimum of 2 year’s experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in employment services.

Other requirements:

• Ability to multitask and prioritize client services and job duties while maintaining flexibility in your schedule
• Obtain CESP accreditation within 1 year of hire
• Effective oral and written skills for case notes, reports, facilitating, meetings, and marketing
• Proficiency in Google Workspace
• Possesses high level of professionalism in appearance, actions, communication and business casual dress attire
• Time management in arriving to work on time, providing clients with maximized hours, completing daily documentation, reports, and submitting timesheet and mileage
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, home staff, and administrative staff.
• Demonstrates self-motivation, self-direction, organizational skills, flexibility and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid and Active Washington Driver License and auto insurance
• Must pass a Washington State background check
• First Aid/CPR Certified (within 120 days of employment, training can be provided)
• Blood Borne Pathogen (within 120 days of employment, training can be provided)

ONGOING ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Complete and pass the background check screening upon hire and every two years thereafter, or as requested.
• Must have a vehicle with current auto insurance.
• Must have an acceptable driving record per SAILS Washington policy.
• Maintains all  APSE Continuing Education  (CEU’s) yearly.
