Here Is What You Will Do:

The House Manager is responsible for providing leadership, oversight, coordination, and support within assigned residential homes. This position assists with ensuring quality participant care, staff support, medication oversight, scheduling coordination, household operations, and implementation of participant service plans.

The House Manager works collaboratively with the QIDP, Administrator, and Direct Support Professionals to ensure services are delivered in accordance with participant needs, agency policies, Idaho regulations, and person-centered practices.

In addition to supervisory and coordination responsibilities, the House Manager may perform all duties of a Direct Support Professional as needed.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS:

  • Supervise, support, and assist with training Direct Support Professionals regarding participant care, household operations, documentation, and program implementation.

  • Reinforce participant program implementation and ensure staff understand participant objectives and support strategies as directed by the QIDP.

  • Monitor participant appointments and communicate scheduling changes, follow-up needs, or concerns to supervisory staff.

  • Assist with maintaining participant schedules and ensuring appointments are attended as required.

  • Ensure medications are administered, documented, and stored according to agency policy and applicable regulations.

  • Report medication errors promptly and ensure appropriate documentation and follow-up occurs.

  • Monitor medication supplies and communicate refill needs at least five (7) days in advance whenever possible.

  • Review documentation, MARs, communication logs, and participant records for accuracy and completeness.

  • Ensure participant house binders and required documentation are organized, current, and compliant with agency standards.

  • Complete and submit household cleanliness and safety checklists as assigned.

  • Assist with crisis intervention, behavioral support, and emergency situations according to agency policy.

  • Serve as a communication liaison between Direct Support Professionals and management staff.

  • Assist with maintaining staff schedules and communicate staffing needs or coverage concerns to supervisors.

  • Communicate scheduling updates and staffing changes to team members as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with Administration and residential leadership regarding participant care, staffing, household needs, and operational concerns.

  • Assist with household grocery shopping, supplies, toiletry needs, and maintaining a safe and functional living environment.

  • Attend participant appointments, team meetings, and staff meetings as requested or required.

  • Work a minimum of one additional eight (8) hour direct support shift per week outside of regular administrative responsibilities, as assigned.

  • Ensure participant care tracking systems and required documentation are completed accurately and timely.

  • Maintain confidentiality of participant and employee information in accordance with HIPAA and agency standards.

  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow OSHA and agency safety procedures.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the QIDP, Administrator, or management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

  • High school diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to provide services according to an individualized plan of service.

  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

  • Leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with participants, families, staff, medical providers, and community partners.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist participants as required.

  • Must have an active driver’s license and be able to transport clients.

 

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.

  • Successfully complete criminal history and background checks.

  • Free from communicable diseases as required by applicable regulations.

  • Completion of Assistance with Medications training approved by the Idaho State Board of Nursing or other Department-approved training, when applicable.

  • Complete Department-approved traumatic brain injury training as required.

  • Maintain any certifications or licensure required to perform assigned duties.

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable automobile insurance coverage if transporting participants.
