What You'll Do
As a
Direct Support Professional
, you will support individuals with developmental disabilities in living meaningful, independent, and safe lives. You will promote personal growth, protect well-being, and serve as a trusted advocate.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily routines as outlined in each client's IPP/ISP
- Assist residents with personal goals, social engagement, and community activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment
- Assist with personal care (grooming, hygiene, dressing, bathroom needs)
- Prepare meals and assist with clean-up
- Transport clients to/from activities, homes, or appointments as needed
- Report incidents and communicate daily with supervisors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of professional or personal caregiving experience
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to pass all pre-employment checks (background, physical, etc.)
Preferred (or Willing To Obtain)
- DSP Year 1 & Year 2
- CPI (within 6 months)
- CPR/First Aid (within 30 days)
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health needs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

On-site — not remote
