RedSky is seeking an experienced Audio Video Engineer to support clients at Fort Belvoir, VA; Columbus, OH; and Pearl Harbor, HI. Responsibilities:
- Install, pull, terminate, and test all types of audio visual (AV) cables, connectors, and interfaces to ensure reliable system operations.
- Install projection screens, plasma TVs, and various types of speakers across multiple client and government sites within the designated locations.
- Perform installation, configuration, and commissioning of AV systems, supporting up to ten (10) offsite events annually within a 50-mile radius of the respective duty station.
- Read and interpret blueprints and wire AV racks to technical and contractual specifications.
- Manage AV projects utilizing diverse equipment models and manufacturers, delivering solutions that meet customer standards.
- Apply advanced troubleshooting to all AV systems, networks, software, and hardware; conduct system testing and analysis, and implement corrective actions as required.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all wire and connector types for AV cabling, ensuring proper documentation and system integrity.
- Provide technical support throughout the AV system lifecycle, identifying and resolving complex technical issues at any of the duty stations.
- Contribute to dynamic event support, exhibiting adaptability and resourcefulness in response to evolving project demands.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in audio-visual engineering, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in installing AV cabling, connectors, projection screens, TVs, and various speaker types.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and wire AV racks to exact specifications.
- Experience managing AV projects across multiple equipment types and supporting complex customer requirements.
- In-depth understanding and proficiency in testing, analysis, and corrective action for AV systems, networks, hardware, and software.
- Extensive knowledge of all AV cabling and connector types used in professional AV implementations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the capacity to support multiple simultaneous projects and events.
- Must be available to support up to ten (10) offsite events per year within 50 miles of the respective duty station (Fort Belvoir, Columbus, or Pearl Harbor).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, technical, and customer service skills are essential.
- DoD 8570 Baseline Certification: IAT Level II (e.g., Security CE)
- DLA-Approved CE Certifications: One of the following required:
- 100-140 Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) IT Support
- 100-150 Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) Networking
