Overview
A leading technology integration firm is seeking an AV Field Integration Manager to oversee the on-site execution and delivery of complex Audio Visual (AV) systems. This role requires a highly skilled professional with deep technical knowledge of AV systems, strong leadership in field operations, and proven experience managing crews, subcontractors, and union teams on large-scale commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and participate in the physical installation of AV infrastructure, including pulling and terminating low-voltage cabling (Cat5/5e/6/6a, HDMI, speaker wire, etc.).
- Oversee and perform field terminations (RJ45, DB9, XLR, 3.5mm, etc.).
- Manage logistics such as material deliveries, staging, and inventory on job sites.
- Coordinate and communicate with multiple subcontractors, vendors, and trades - including general contractors, architects, electricians, and furniture vendors.
- Supervise and assist with installation of displays, projectors, projection screens, LED video walls, AV racks, speakers, microphones, wall panels, and table interfaces.
- Review and interpret AV design documents including floor plans, line diagrams, and rack elevations.
- Provide detailed daily project updates and progress reports to the Project Manager and project team.
- Collaborate closely with field engineers on technical aspects such as system commissioning and programming.
- Maintain professional customer interactions and ensure job sites remain organized and clean throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading large-scale AV installation projects, including supervision, troubleshooting, and service.
- Proven experience with LED video wall installation and integration across various manufacturers.
- Strong understanding of rigging and hardpoint construction.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and WebEx conferencing systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Physically capable of lifting over 50 lbs. and performing installation-related tasks such as bending and crouching for extended periods.
- Clean driving record and willingness to travel, including weekends and overnight stays as needed.
Required Certifications
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
- Low Voltage/Electrical License (CT/RI licensure a plus)
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Aerial Lift Certification
