Our client in the Hoosick Falls, NY, area is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Production Planner to manage production schedules, inventory levels, and purchasing demands based on customer orders and forecasts. This role is ideal for a strong problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can balance multiple priorities while keeping operations on track.
Responsibilities of the Production Planner will include:
- Coordinate and manage production workflows across multiple projects
- Plan and prioritize operations to maximize efficiency and minimize delays
- Determine manpower, equipment, and raw material requirements
- Develop and adjust production schedules based on demand
- Monitor job progress to ensure on-time completion
- Identify and resolve production issues quickly to prevent disruptions
- Collect and analyze production data, including output and defect rates
- Prepare and submit detailed production and performance reports
- Maintain accurate and organized production documentation
- Collaborate closely with production, quality control, and purchasing teams
- Support ERP system development, maintenance, and process improvements
Qualifications for the role of Production Planner:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 7 years of experience in manufacturing planning or a related field
- Associate’s degree in Industrial Engineering or similar field is a plus
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Strong analytical and mathematical problem-solving ability
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience working with ERP systems preferred
