Responsibilities
This is a full-time, on-site role based in St. George, UT. The Production Director / On-Air Personality is responsible for overseeing all production elements of the station(s), including commercials, imaging, and promotional content, while also delivering concise, professional on-air performance in a music-driven environment.
This position requires strong technical production skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance behind-the-scenes execution with reliable on-air delivery across multiple formats.
Production Director Responsibilities
The Production Director oversees the creation, scheduling, and quality control of all station production, including commercial spots, station imaging, promos, and special projects. Responsibilities include producing, editing, and voicing commercials and imaging; maintaining consistent audio quality and brand standards; and managing production workflows to meet deadlines.
This role works closely with sales, promotions, and programming teams to translate creative concepts into effective audio content, ensure accuracy and compliance, and deliver polished final products. The Production Director is also responsible for maintaining production equipment, audio libraries, and production schedules, while ensuring all content meets FCC and company guidelines.
On-Air Responsibilities
As an On-Air Personality, this role delivers brief, engaging, and format-appropriate on-air content that supports a music-first listening experience. Responsibilities include executing clean music transitions, adhering to format clocks, and delivering concise breaks that reinforce station branding without disrupting music flow.
The on-air component may include live shifts and/or voice tracking, participation in promotions and station initiatives, and collaboration with programming staff. The individual must be comfortable adapting delivery style to different formats, audiences, and dayparts as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in radio production, including commercial production and station imaging
- Proficiency with audio editing and production software and broadcast automation systems (Adobe Audition, Audio Vault, or the equivalent, Zetta, RCS, WideOrbit, or Music Master)
- On-air experience in a music-driven radio environment is preferred
- Strong understanding of format clocks, pacing, and music flow
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet production deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to audio quality
- Familiarity with FCC regulations and broadcast standards
- Ability to work on-site and maintain a consistent schedule
