Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for underground mining personnel, including
- Deliver classroom-based training sessions on various topics such as mining methods, equipment operation, safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as simulators, hands-on-exercises and group discussions to enhance learning and retention.
- Develop the supervisor cohort through the delivery of soft skills training including effective communication, teamwork, conflict resolution and leadership fundamentals.
- Assess trainee performance through evaluations, tests and practical assessments to ensure understanding
- Stay updated with industry advancements, safety personnel and management to ensure training
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions attendance and training progress.
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to trainees addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Facilitate high-risk work training (eg working at heights, confined space, manual handling, permit to work).
- Travel to all projects as required to conduct training, development and implement improvement
- Collaborate with project leadership and HSET teams to identify training needs and gaps.
- Annually evaluate and improve training programs based on feedback and changing industry needs.
- Ensure all training activities comply with company policies industry standards and legal requirements.
- If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements
acceptable driving record.
- Responsible to keep work areas safe and free of hazards. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments.
- Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his duties in a safe
- Comply with daily, weekly and monthly safety directives, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information.
- Complies with and ensure compliance with Redpath’s Policies and Procedures as detailed in the
- Able to work in excess of 40 hours a week, overtime, day and nights, weekends, holidays and shift rotations.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Redpath train the trainer program.
- Qualified MSHA instructor (Surface & Underground)
- Certification in adult education training or a related field is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a training or instructional role within the mining industry.
- In depth knowledge of underground mining techniques equipment and safety regulations.
- Ability to develop engaging and effective training materials and programs.
- Must be able to demonstrate proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials.
- Knowledge of the mining industry underground environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and
- Proficiency in using training software and tools as well as standard office software for example
