What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toplander position at Redpath Mining Contractors and Engineers?
Assist with general labor tasks on the surface mining site, including manual labor, material handling, and maintenance tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, follow safety protocols, and report safety hazards promptly.
Complies with and ensure compliance with Redpath's Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals, handbooks, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Assist with general labor tasks on the surface mining site.
Perform manual labor such as shovelling, sweeping, and cleaning work areas.
Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading trucks.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work site and storage areas.
Assist operators and drivers as needed to ensure efficient operations.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors promptly.
10.Assist with maintenance tasks such as painting, minor repairs, and landscaping.
11.Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding surface mining operations.
12.If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles. Must possess a current State Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
13.Comply with daily, weekly, and monthly safety directives, policies, and procedures.
14.Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information.
15.Able to work in excess of 40 hours a week, overtime, day and nights, weekends, holidays and shift rotations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- None
Work Experience:
- 2-5 years' experience in a similar role.
Knowledge Required:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multitask and work effectively.
Ability to safely use and handle a variety of tools, equipment, and materials.
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
Ability to read and understand engineering prints (civil work, structural work, rock excavation work).
Ability to work as part of a project planning team.
Previous quality experience is required.
MSHA Underground miner training would be considered an asset.
Underground Mining experience would be an asset as would knowledge of applicable mine regulations pertaining to construction in mining.
10.Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his duties in a safe and efficient manner.
