At Redpath, we continue to grow, and our M&A Advisory team is looking for a full-time Manager or Sr. Manager with a background in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) including buy-side and sell-side due diligence.  Our M&A Advisory team guides clients through every stage of the transaction lifecycle from developing the corporate strategy to performing diligence to leading the integration efforts. You will work closely with the M&A Advisory Practice Lead to develop and assist in growing our M&A Advisory practice for our clients in a variety of industries including Technology, Healthcare, Manufacturing and Distribution, Construction, Engineering, and Business Services.

You will have the option of working remote or a hybrid work arrangement. 

 

Where you might spend your time:

 

  • Work as a trusted advisor with clients pre and post LOI
  • Perform financial due diligence for private equity and strategic clients
  • Perform quality of earnings, net working capital analysis, and debt and debt-like assessments
  • Assist clients as they prepare for a sales process and work collaboratively with management and other M&A advisors
  • Analyze complex ideas and data sets and build a range of meaningful recommendations
  • Identify potential synergies and plan to execute within the integration plan
  • Utilize data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision making 
  • Supervise teams working collaboratively to meet strict deadlines
  • Resolve issues which prevent the team from working effectively
  • Coach others, recognize their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development
  • Lead management meetings and site visits while interacting with executive management
  • Collaborate with tax, audit, and other consulting services


What you’ll need to be successful:

 

  • 5 years of professional experience in assurance, transaction advisory, M&A, or financial planning and analysis roles
  • 2 years of experience working in transaction advisory, M&A, or related fields for the manager role and 5 years for the senior manager role, including performing quality of earnings analysis or financial due diligence
  • CPA preferred
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel for the use of data analysis, including the use of pivot tables, v lookups, arrays, PowerPivot, PowerQuery, etc.
  • Supervisory and team leadership experience
  • Experience presenting to executive management
  • Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures
  • Ability to develop new skills outside comfort zone
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Balance of strong audit skills and business acumen
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills that makes you ask “why”
  • Evaluated as an exceptional performer in current practice
  • Ability to travel 20-30%
  • Remote Location: Open to U.S. although Minneapolis / St. Paul area preferred
