What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apparel Designer position at Redmont Talent Partners?
Redmont Talent Partners is partnering with a children's clothing line based in Birmingham, AL (Hoover Area) looking to hire a clothing designer to join their growing team. As a member of our design team, you'll be at the heart of ensuring that our vision for comfort and quality is consistently executed across all of our collections. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, you'll be ensuring every piece meets the company specifications. The company does not create brand new designs, these are designs that change up fabrics, appliques, pantone colors, etc. You will be trained on how to the ways of the current successful designers.
Salary: $40-$42,500 k to start with bonus
Hours: 8-5 but flexible
Benefits: $200/month stipend for healthcare, 401k 3% match after a year, PTO
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design team to support the team with a variety of projects
- Maintain awareness of current trends in fashion and graphic design
- Ensure all design solutions adhere to brand guidelines and meet measurable business goals and requirements
- Think creatively to develop fresh concepts and design solutions which support project objectives, always taking pride in the content produced
- Learn and maintain awareness of schedules, deadlines, and processes in an ever-evolving e-commerce environment
- Review designs for errors or additions before approval, publishing, and/or print
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Apparel Design
- 1 years of apparel design and/or production
- In-depth understanding of the company brand and our customer
- Willingness to learn and a passion for continuous improvement in an ever-changing environment
- Ability to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
