Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Trainer-Bus Driver located in Redmond, OR. The Trainer-Bus Driver will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and extracurricular activities, ensuring a secure and positive environment. The role includes training and mentoring new bus drivers, conducting safety and operational checks, and adhering to school district transportation policies. The Trainer-Bus Driver will also provide regular safety training for the transportation team and assist with compliance in maintaining safe driving practices.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating school buses and large vehicles with a valid driver’s license, including a CDL endorsement (if required).
- Experience in training, mentoring, or supervising drivers, with strong leadership abilities to guide a team.
- Thorough knowledge of safety practices and transportation regulations applicable to school bus operations.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and school staff, fostering a positive and professional environment.
- Attention to detail for vehicle maintenance checks and accurate record-keeping.
- Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
- Previous experience as a bus driver is preferred, but not required.
