Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power Sports Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of power sports vehicles including motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles. The ideal candidate has mechanical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for power sports equipment. Redline Sports, Inc is located in Butte MT and carries Polaris and Honda
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of power sports vehicles (motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles).
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Install performance parts and accessories as requested by customers or sales staff.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new units to ensure factory specifications are met.
- Test vehicles for proper functionality after service or repair.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
- Communicate with service advisors and customers about repair needs, estimates, and job status.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Stay current with manufacturer training and certifications.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or manufacturer training preferred.
- 2 years of experience working as a power sports or small engine technician.
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, fuel systems, and electrical systems.
- Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and service manuals.
- Valid driver’s license; motorcycle endorsement is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Certifications (not required but a plus):
- OEM certifications (e.g. Honda, Polaris, BRP)
- ASE or equivalent small engine repair certifications
