Powersports Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power Sports Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of power sports vehicles including motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles. The ideal candidate has mechanical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for power sports equipment. Redline Sports, Inc is located in Butte MT and carries Polaris and Honda

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of power sports vehicles (motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles).
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Install performance parts and accessories as requested by customers or sales staff.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new units to ensure factory specifications are met.
• Test vehicles for proper functionality after service or repair.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
• Communicate with service advisors and customers about repair needs, estimates, and job status.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Stay current with manufacturer training and certifications.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or manufacturer training preferred.
• 2 years of experience working as a power sports or small engine technician.
• Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, fuel systems, and electrical systems.
• Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and service manuals.
• Valid driver’s license; motorcycle endorsement is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Certifications (not required but a plus):

• OEM certifications (e.g. Honda, Polaris, BRP)
• ASE or equivalent small engine repair certifications

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
