Home Security Technician

We are expanding and seeking skilled Home Security Technicians who want to be paid based on production, not hourly wages.
If you can complete clean, professional installations, confidently troubleshoot systems, and educate customers on upgrades, this opportunity offers strong earning potential.
If you are only interested in completing basic installs without maximizing opportunities, this position may not be the right fit.
Compensation
- $450 base pay per completed job
- 50% commission on all upgrades and add-ons
- Uncapped earning potential
- Paid per job — your production determines your income
Realistic Earnings Example
- 3 installs per week = $1,350 base
- 5 installs per week = $2,250 base
- Add 2–3 upgrades per week = Additional commission income
- Strong performers can significantly increase weekly earnings
There is no income cap. High producers are rewarded accordingly.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure alarm systems, CCTV, fire alarms, access control, and intrusion detection systems
- Run and terminate low-voltage wiring and structured cabling
- Interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics
- Troubleshoot, test, and repair security systems
- Configure IP-based surveillance systems and remote access
- Educate customers on system operation and identify upgrade opportunities
- Maintain professional installation standards and accurate service documentation
Requirements
- Experience in security systems, low-voltage, telecommunications, or construction
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Basic networking knowledge (IP cameras, routers, remote configuration)
- Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
- Strong customer communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred experience includes IDS, CCTV, fire systems, locksmithing, or structured cabling.
