Duties
- Conduct routine pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls, and removing debris to keep pools spotless and inviting
- Perform regular pool water testing and adjust chemical levels to maintain proper pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and other water quality parameters
- Inspect and troubleshoot pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators; perform repairs or replacements as needed using hand tools and power tools
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, chemical treatments, and equipment repairs for each pool serviced
- Assist with opening and closing pools seasonally or as required by client schedules
- Identify potential issues early by conducting thorough inspections of pool systems and components to prevent future problems
- Follow all safety procedures diligently to ensure the well-being of yourself, colleagues, and clients at all times
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues in pool systems and equipment
- Experience with equipment repair, troubleshooting electrical or plumbing components in pools
- Proficiency in pool maintenance tasks such as chemical balancing, cleaning techniques, and water testing
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools necessary for repairs and routine upkeep
- Service technician experience is preferred to efficiently address client needs with professionalism
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and safety compliance
