Job Summary: The Mobile Gear Technician will be responsible for repairing and cleaning first responder gear using our state-of-the-art Mobile Repair Unit. This role requires technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the Mobile Repair Unit to travel to customer locations and provide on-site gear repair and cleaning services.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain first responder gear, ensuring it meets safety and performance standards.
- Clean and sanitize gear using specialized equipment and cleaning agents.
- Document all repairs and maintenance performed, maintaining accurate records.
- Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide updates on the status of their gear.
- Ensure the Mobile Repair Unit is stocked with necessary tools, parts, and cleaning supplies.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in gear repair is a plus.
- Proven experience in gear repair and maintenance, preferably for first responder equipment.
- Strong technical skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel to various customer locations.
