Summary:
This position is responsible for designing, developing, and supervising all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery. Also responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Designs and develops electrical equipment, components, products, and control systems.
· Develops, tests, maintains and modifies applications of controls, instruments, and systems and prepares electrical schematics, panel layouts, PLC programming, operator interface designs, and upgrades/enhances controls on existing products.
· Ensure components are established and procured in a timely manner.
· Works with the design team to learn work flow, drawing preparation and BOM structure.
· Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, codes, standards and customer requirements.
· Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
· Makes engineering changes/improvements within CAD environment and processes engineering change requests in a timely manner.
· Ensures customers are satisfied, consistent with expectations.
· Participates in design reviews with design team members and reads and interprets technical materials.
· Provides product support on the manufacturing floor.
· Employ both Digital/Software and Analog based methods of debugging.
· Work closely with assembly and panel build to create quality build.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: ABachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college or university required (Master’s degree is desirable) and 2-5 years experience in a "job shop" environment desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience. We will not be able to sponsor work-related visas for this opening.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, Data Sheets, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to analyze, through critical thinking, a verity of solutions to any one problem or improved methods to accomplish identical tasks.
Computer Skills: MS Office software, RSView and WonderWare software, PLC programming proficiency with Allen Bradley and Siemens S7 products as well as other platforms, AutoCAD drawing software and BPCSW. A base understanding of, a Scripting langue (C, Python, C#, or C ), latter logic, and function block programing methods and the Eaton controller platform with XSoft-CoDeSyS-2 and Galileo 8.0 software.
