What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sports Performance Specialist position at RedLine Athletics?
As a Speed & Strength Coach or "Sports Performance Specialist" (SPS), you will help us build a better athlete by delivering training focused on activation and dynamic warm up activities, speed, agility, strength, power, mobility, and recovery work. Your energy, vocal tone, and engagement will create an atmosphere that inspires each athlete to put forth their best in order to get better each session.
Essential Requirements for the position include:
-Must hold a valid industry-recognized professional personal training certification such as (NASM-CPT), (ISSA), (NSCA), (IYCA) (*Required*)
-Must be available 4-5 days a week from 3:30pm-8:30pm Monday - Friday
-At least 2 years of training or sports performance coaching experience; must be physically able to execute the exercises and techniques taught as part of the program (*Preferred*)
-Collegiate experience playing experience (Preferred)
-A bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science (Preferred)
SPS Responsibilities:
- Lead and/or co-lead, demonstrate and instruct semi-private, team training and 1-on-1 classes
- Create an energetic enviornment during each training session with high vocalization
- Engage young athletes and get to know them through relationship building, small talk, etc.
- Consistently demonstrate positive-body language and non-verbal communication
- Encourage and motivate young athletes to do their best during training and congratulate them accordingly
- Be an active coach by demonstrating, instructing/cueing, correcting, and/or modifying during each training session
- Control the room by keeping young athletes on task and focused with a leadership presence, high awareness, and observation
- Will work alongside the Director of Sports Performance and GM in ensuring each athlete is on the Redline Path to performance
- Must have a good attitude and willingness to be part of a team
- Have FUN and ensure athletes have FUN
- Help clean equipment and facility. Keep the facility tidy and free of safety hazards
- Organize, run, and be instrumental in camps or other offerings as needed
- Attend games/events/matches of clients or potential clients as requested
- Learn the POS/Mind-Body system and make sure each client is checked in
- Know our pricing, what we offer, and our advantages over competitors
- Be dependable and honest to open and close the facility if needed

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
