What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Sports Performance Specialist (SPS) position at Redline Athletics / Youth Sports Performance of NJ LLC?
Redline Athletics is an exclusive youth performance training center, where highly accomplished athletes, former professionals, and specially-certified trainers help young athletes improve their athletic performance and reduce the risk of injury. Redline helps members become stronger, faster, and more powerful, while training in a dynamic, fast-paced, fun environment that allows young athletes to train “like a pro, with the pros”.
Our state-of-the-art facility, a 10,000-square foot training center in Morristown, includes a high-intensity turf area for speed and agility work, along with two retractable batting cages and a regulation size half-basketball/full-volleyball court for skill development sessions, private training and rentals. The facility also features a professional strength and conditioning area outfitted with the latest training equipment, offering youth athletes and their parents/coaches a truly unique training facility, applicable to just about any sport!
Redline works exclusively with youth athletes, primarily 8-to-18 year olds, to create a specialized program to develop core stability, speed improvement, running form, agility, acceleration, strength training and injury prevention techniques. Our goal is to have our athletes take what is learned about their bodies and convert it into “real sport situations and movements.”
Sports Performance Specialists (SPS) are an integral part of the Redline team who work with our youth athletes on sports performance development. They assist with mobility and activation training, an active warm-up, speed and agility work, sport-specific skill development, and strength training as part of a proprietary 60-minute program.
The ideal candidate loves working with kids and has either played professional or collegiate sports or trained professional or collegiate athletes. A background in Exercise and Sports Science (or similar degree), CSCS Certification (or equivalent) is preferred.
Compensation is based on an hourly rate, augmented by revenue-sharing for 1-on-1 sessions, team training, camps/clinics, etc. The SPS role offers structured part-time hours and the opportunity for advancement within a growing performance-based organization with several locations opening throughout Northern NJ.
Compensation negotiable, based on experience, plus revenue-share opportunity on 1x1 training, camps, clinics, etc.
