AI/ML integration Engineer Alpharetta, GA (Remote) (Planned, in-office activities may be required on occasion) Duration: CTH
Architect & Lead Integration Work
- Design and oversee scalable, secure, and reliable carrier API integrations (REST, SOAP, EDI, ACORD, proprietary carrier systems).
- Define patterns, frameworks, and reusable services to accelerate onboarding of new carriers and lines of business.
AI & Automation Strategy
- Develop AI/ML pipelines to extract, normalize, and map submission and policy data (ACORD forms, loss runs, SOVs, proposals).
- Collaborate with Data Science/AI teams to embed LLMs and vector search into underwriting workflows.
- Evaluate emerging AI models and frameworks to ensure practical, cost-efficient adoption.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship
- Serve as a hands-on technical leader, writing high-quality code and setting engineering best practices.
- Mentor senior engineers on AI, system integration, and distributed architectures.
- Partner with Product, Carrier Relations, and Operations to align integration roadmaps with business goals.
Platform & Infrastructure Ownership
- Drive performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across the integration and AI pipelines.
- Collaborate with DevOps on AWS-based infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, S3, Bedrock, Step Functions, API Gateway).
- Ensure compliance with data security, SOC2, and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10 years in software engineering, with 5 years in a senior/principal role.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong background in insurance carrier integrations, ACORD standards, or related InsurTech systems.
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript (Python experience a plus).
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven systems, and microservices.
- Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines, LLMs, and vector databases (e.g., MongoDB Atlas Vector Search, Pinecone, Redis).
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
